身近で相次いで不発弾が見つかり、日常の見え方が変わった。掘り出されたそれはサンドバッグのようでもあり、むしろサンドバッグこそ不発弾に似ているのではと思った。殴るという行為を通して「見えない日常」を想像させる象徴になりうる。それは、スポーツ的な戦いによって平和が達成されるという前提を疑うきっかけになるかもしれない。展示は地下空間で行われ、この土地がかつて焼夷計画の対象だったこともあり、そのことが直接見るという体験にささやかな含みを与えてくれるのではないかと考えた。
When an unexploded bomb was constantly found nearby, it changed the way I saw the everyday. Once unearthed, it looked almost like a sandbag, and I began to wonder if perhaps sandbags themselves resemble unexploded bombs. Through the act of striking, it could become a symbol that makes us imagine the “unseen everyday.” It may also serve as a chance to question the assumption that peace is achieved through sports-like forms of combat. The exhibition takes place underground, and since this site was once targeted in incendiary bombing plans, that history may quietly add another layer of meaning to the experience.
